Weekend Makeup Idea: Cat Eyes

Weekend Makeup Idea: Cat Eyes

So if you find yourself having practically no time to get dressed to go out this weekend, consider a quick cat eye to get you through your outings. While it may seem intimidating to some, practice really does make perfect when trying to achieve a nice winged liner look.

Some tips/tricks

Use a liquid liner as they tend to stay put longer than pencils
Don’t get too wrapped up in getting it absolutely perfect all the time. They don’t have to be absolutely symmetrical. Just get them to look like sisters if you can’t get them to be twins.
Applying a pencil liner first and then tracing over it with a liquid makes it a little easier
Grab the edge of a business card and hold it at a 15 degree angle toward the outer corners of the eyes if you can’t get the line just right on your own
If it doesn’t fit your personal style, don’t let your cat eye liner extend way down the outer corners of the eyes Amy Winehouse-style. If you’re more delicate in your way of dress, keep your line more delicate. If you’re more edgy, go for a thick, long line.

You can also get the cat eye look buy using outer corner lashes similar to MAC #20 lashes (or you can take drugstore strip lashes and cut them or use individuals).
