She Needs to Eat a Sandwich and Other Attacks on Skinny Sisters
While scrolling through the comments on yesterday’s, I noticed several readers had quite a bit to say about Keisha Whitaker’s slight frame.
“Forest’s wife [outfit] is cute but DAYUM she needs [to gain] about 20 pounds. [Your] knee bone is NOT supposed to auto stick out like that…
Grace countered, “I love how people on this site are so quick to call a morbidly obese chick “thick” or “curvy” yet all of the [thin] women need to eat a sandwich. Some people are just thin!”
Grace has a point. Though I’m très curvy, I have several friends who can eat huge hamburgers with a milkshake and fries on the side and not gain a pound. Naturally thin people exist. So why do we feel free to comment on their size, then take things a step further by offering them dietary or nutritional advice?
I can only imagine the uproar and hurt if the tables were turned…and someone told you, “You need to stop eating sandwiches!!
